Wanted to ask the guys of The Academy Is... a question? Well here's your chance. Message me with your question as long as it abides by the following rules.

 

1. You must submit only one question for the band, and it must be generlized so that it can be answered by any member of the band. Run-on questions count.

ex. What's your favorite city and why.

 

2. Please do not waste our time with questions like "How did William Beckett get so hot?" it not only embarasses us, it embarasses yourself.

3. You must message your questions to me (you can leave it as a comment on here as well) by June 1, 2007 at 11:59 pm. All questions recieved after that date and time will have absolutely no chance of winning. NO EXCEPTIONS!

4. When sending your question, you must also send your first name and city to recieve credit for it.

5. Only the TOP 10 questions will be used.

6. Make them creative and please don't send anything you'd be too embarassed to as if you were to meet them yourself.

The Best Day Ever!!!

Okay, so like the title says, yesterday was quite possibly the best day ever.
I went to school...which surprisingly enough wasn't too bad. I only went to one class and the rest of the day was spent hanging out with my friends and studying for my AP Exams ( REALLY NEEDED TO DO THAT). After studying for a bit, I checked my email and nearly had a heart attack. I'd sent an email to the publicist for Cobra Starship and The Academy Is... to do an interview during the Honda Civic Tour and she said yes!!! I get to do both which is freaking awesome. My reaction was insane, you'd think i just got into my top choice for college or something. I was jumping up and down and screaming!! People were looking at me like i was insane. I called Re-G and she was on the bus on her way home from school, and she screamed.(NOTE: this is a public bus, not school bus) everyone on the bus looked at her like she was insane also, so she had to tell them "my sister just had a baby" lol.

Then I went to the 930 Club, because I had an interview with Relient K. I didn't meet all of the guys and wasn't able to stay for their set....damn school nights. I interviewed Jon (guitar/banjo/bells/ect.) and Matt (guitar) and they were pretty nice...my crappy tape recorder really fucked me over, because it kept cutting off, but it was all good the guys understood and said if I needed quotes to just call up their tour manager Scott, so I wasn't too pissed. We took pictures with them, and they signed my CD ^_^. Then we stayed for the show (well, most of it) and rocked out. Sherwood was awesome...they had so much energy, and I loved their set. We were front and center, so we didn't miss anything. It was awesome despite everyone behind me pushing me into the gate...I now have a big ass bruise on my stomach, just below my ribs, and on my elbows. It's okay...battle scars, they're all battle scars. Then Mae went on stage, and they were (of course) also awesome. We had to leave right after their set :( . Before we left i got a drumstick from the band when they threw it into the crowd.

Then I came home and went to bed....ahh, nice night.

I'm On Punshment...oh well

Today I skipped school and went to a protest at the Supreame Court to keep schools de-segregated. I told my mom cuz she specifically told me to go to school. The end result is I'm punished. Why did I tell her? Well, cuz it was stupid to lie, especially about going to a protest. She wasn't mad...she was rather apathetic about it and told me that she respected my choice, but because I diobeyed her, I'm punished. Ah well, doesn't matter much. It'll probably be for a week max. a day min. I'm glad I went though, aside from stand outside with no hat, gloves, and scarf in 30 degree weather for about 3 hours, it was worth it. I feel like I accomplished something somehow. As cliche as it sounds, I stood up for something I believe in and even though I wasn't exactly facing punishment in the form of a lynching or alien water torture or something like that, I was still risking something, and I' m proud of myself. I know I sound really full of myself right now, but I am proud. I've always let people walk over me, and I never do what my mother tells me not to so it felt good to do it for once. Even though it was just skipping school to go to a protest, I'll happliy and proudly be punished. Besides since i skipped school, i know i have detention...which i won't go to. Detention /Reading & Recovery at my school is a joke and no one ever goes.

Well, i guess that was it. Love you all, and tty...whenever I'm ou tof Azkaban!!

Halifax ...Oh Yeah!!!

Oh Emm Efff Geee!! I can't wait until this Wednesday. It's gonna be awesome cuz I get to see Halifax and Hoobastank live. Not only that but I get to interview Halifax!!! I hope I don't spaz out and get all nervous. That would suck. I did that with Paramore, and I asked a bunch of stupid questions and now I think they hate me...it didn't help that the editor fudged up their names in the paper...sigh.Oh well, you live and you learn right?

I also had a great time last night at the ROCK & ROLL HOTEL, this cool new venue here. I met some awesome new bands, and am hopefully gonna do a profile on a local one call A Paper Mache Monster. Gotta support that local music scene!! They played along with The Summer Obsession, New Years Day, and Test Your Reflex. It was soo much fun. My friend Seana even got Agustine (the bass player for TYR) to give her the shirt off of his back and sign it for her. haha, his cousin would've gotten us more of the band members' shirts, but we said it was cool...we draw the line at prostitution, lol. Maybe if the club was on K Street, lol (if your from DC you know what i'm talking about). We got alot of merch and CDs (we raided Tower Records before the show). Last night was simply awesome!!

hahah i love that saying...something some kids came up with at my school, it was really funny.

 

anyway, i'm bored adn this is my first day on this buzznet thingy so i thought i'd post something. um... so here it is.

 

Today was the 4th day of spirit week at school, as weird as it sounds, it wasn't so bad. Other than the 2 hours spent in a hot and crowded gym, it was pretty okay. I only went to 2 classes todayt and didn't really do anythind in them...yay for failing school systems. Yesterday was 80s day so i schred the kids at my school shitless with my "gothic" attire, lolz it was funny as fuck. Tuesday was Mix Match day, which was hilarious, it was all like, "so that;s what you look like when you wake up in the morning".  monday was twin day and it was boring, anyway no school tomorrow, but i gotta go to the homecoming game and take pictures for the yearbook.  ah well, that's all for now.
